Walking through Canterbury

Was the famous Church of England cathedral worth visiting?
To enter Canterbury Cathedral, we had to go through Christ Church gate. We could also see the Romanesque staircase outside in the cloister gardens. Inside ,we admired the nave and the vaults. We could notice how deep and high the gothic nave and the choir were with their fan vaulting. Then, the teachers let us have some free-time.

Where did we eat?
We ate in a park next to the cathedral on a bench. It was sunny. The grass was very green like in each city in England. There was a French group near us. It was a nice sunny day.

What about going into the city centre?
In the free shopping time, we went to the city centre to do some shopping or simply walk. There were lots of shops but the prices were more expensive than in France. Most of my friends bought N.Y. caps. There were also men and women who were singing or playing the guitar to get some money. We saw some French shops keepers and talked to them and in the evening, we met our families.
